David is a Partner and Retirement Plans Practice Leader at Revant Wealth, where he oversees all aspects of the firm’s retirement plan service model. His primary focus is guiding plan sponsors in meeting their retirement plan obligations and effectively addressing fiduciary liability concerns. With extensive experience in both qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, David frequently navigates complex plan qualification issues and negotiates favorable outcomes with regulatory agencies, including the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Labor.
David brings over thirty years of retirement plan expertise to Revant Wealth. Prior to co-founding the firm, he served as a Senior Manager with Ernst & Young LLP and as a Manager with Deloitte & Touche LLP within their Employee Benefits practices across Orange County, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. David is also a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor, signifying specialized knowledge and proficiency in retirement plan fiduciary practices.
David believes strongly in proactive collaboration, clear communication, and meticulous attention to detail. His advisory philosophy prioritizes transparency and education, empowering clients with the understanding and clarity necessary to confidently manage their retirement responsibilities.
David earned his law degree from Southwestern University School of Law and holds a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Long Beach. Beyond his professional commitments, he actively engages with the community, having served as past President of the Orange County Ernst & Young Alumni Association and as a frequent speaker at professional events.
Outside of work, David and his wife, Michelle, reside in Irvine and have two adult children and two lovable rescue dogs. They enjoy discovering new global experiences, while David personally finds fulfillment in weightlifting, roller hockey, and his ongoing quest to perfect his golf game.
